Challenges of Indian Firefighters

Hello Everyone !!!

The Current Challenges are :

  1. Long working hours, less rest periods.
  2. Lack of proper equipment and gears.
  3. No health insurance provided.
  4. Low risk-allowance paid.
  5. Low quality uniforms provided.
  6. Less number of fire-brigade vans, than actually needed.
  7. Severely understaffed, imbalanced gender ratio.
  8. Poor infrastructure of the fire stations.
  9. Lack of proper training for the fire-fighters.
  10. Currently 8,500 fire-stations needed across across the country, but we have only 2,900 fire stations as of now.
  11. There are 144 areas with 1-lacs and more population, but no infrastructures to deal with fire hazard.
  12. In urban areas, lack of 73% firefighters and 79% manpower.

Thank You !!!
