The Protection Check-list for Urban Survival

Hii Everyone !!!

 During an urban survival scenario, its important to have a checklist of essential equipment one should possess which will make a difference during life or death scenarios.

The Possible List is : 

 1. Chemical sprays (OC spray, pepper spray, Mace etc.) and practice with them daily.
2. Stun-gun
3. Intruder alarms
4. Firearms (check local laws, have CCW) and extra ammunitions
5. Install deadbolt locks on all outside doors
6. Make sure house is secure at all points of possible entry

And anything else according to situation, local area and capabilities.

Some Useful Tips :

  • Enroll each adult family member in a firearms safety class.
  • Visit local firearms practice range and become proficient with the use of firearms.
  • Sign-up for a martial arts or MMA class. It will help with overall fitness as well as learning some tactics for protection of yourself and your loved ones.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!! In Vedic era India, all alien cultures that were less civilized were termed as "Mlecchas" or barbarians. They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita .
