The 5 Elements of Force Applied :

1. Tension
2. Compression
3. Sheer
4. Bending
5. Twisting

The 4 Major Problems of Pain as Motivation :

1. It is designed to work on normal people.
2. Human beings are not machines.
3. No one can be forced to comply through pain.
4. Alcohol and drugs physically slow down the nerves processing speed.

The 4 Boundaries of Self Defense :

1. The danger is physical.
2. Its happening.
3. You participated in the creation and escalation of the situation.
4. You didn't step after the threat to you was past.

The 4 Basic Ways of Physical Conflict :

1. A blow is struck.
   a) Although there is physical contact, this is more a threat display.
   b) It is not a full-out committed assault
   c) It is more "see how far I am willing to go if you don't stop?"

2. A fight, even though one person attacks first, the other counter-attacks.
   a) Both parties are still focused on winning.
   b) Both parties willingly participating in physical conflict.
   c) Neither party attempting to escape.

3. An assault-- One party using overwhelming force.
    a) Having overwhelmed the other's defenses, he presses the attack.
    b) One party tries to break-off and free.
    c) The aggressor continues to attack despite of no further resistance.

4. Against an assault, the defender prevents physical damage to self.
    a) Escape from the scene.
    b) Ends the danger to self without being an aggressor.
    c) Does not attempt to punish the other for attacking.
