Continuing from the last post...
15. Seek Holy Company :
When holy company is not available, we should depend on our own resources and go ahead with hard and methodical works. Following those of above and earlier teachings which are suitable for us, we must bring about the preponderance of Sattva in our mind and finally, learn how to transcend Sattva by purifying it.
- Purification of Sattva :--
a) Constant discrimination between real and unreal.
b) Renunciation of the unreal
c) Deep contemplation on true nature of the Self.
16. Emergency Control Devices :
a) Immediately raise a positive contrary wave.
b) Turn your focus and attention to the God.
c) Japa, i.e. constant repetition of God's names.
d) Go out for a brisk walk and concentrate on the nature.
17. Importance of Repetition of OM :
The importance is because of the Theory of Samskaras, which states that the sum total of impressions live latent in the mind, as soon as they get the right stimulus, they come out.
18. Control of the Subconscious Mind :
- The Subconscious mind is nothing but stored-up Samskaras.
- Go on pouring positive thoughts into the mind.
19. Beware of a trick of the mind-- Sabotage of the efforts of the conscious mind by the subconscious mind by throwing a picture of fearful future.
20. Simplest and Surest Methods :
a) Cultivate the dualistic attitude.
b) Chant loudly the name of the Lord
c) Practice Japa with devotion.
