Backward technology used, although police force of certain states improving on this parameter, still on the whole the scenario is not at par. Lack of internal checks and balances. Sub-standard investigative capabilities and infrastructure. Crisis in leadership and command. Low sex ratio and balance in the police department. Corruption among police ranks. Non-compliance to Supreme Court's 7 Directives Report by various states. Need of a good mix-up of personnel from every religion, class, caste and tribe to increase understanding of behavior and attitude of different communities. Thank you.  

Challenges of Mental Health Institutions in India

Hello Everyone !!! The psychiatric and mental health institutions in India are facing following challenges :  According to NIMHANS, there are more than 7-cr. mentally ill people in India and less than 4,000 doctors to treat them and most of them concentrated in Metros and 2-tier cities. We have only 40 institutions and less than 2,600 beds. Of these, only 9 institutions equipped to treat children. Most of these institutions have medieval-era structures and patients kept in solitary confinement. Barely 1-2% of Health Budget every year dedicated to mental health problems and related systems. Most of these institutions are over-crowded and the patients are ill-treated. Psychiatric Hospital Staff Everyday Carry :    Nitrile gloves, flashlight, Multi-tool, pens, notepad. Thank you.

Challenges of Indian Firefighters

Hello Everyone !!! The Current Challenges are : Long working hours, less rest periods. Lack of proper equipment and gears. No health insurance provided. Low risk-allowance paid. Low quality uniforms provided. Less number of fire-brigade vans, than actually needed. Severely understaffed, imbalanced gender ratio. Poor infrastructure of the fire stations. Lack of proper training for the fire-fighters. Currently 8,500 fire-stations needed across across the country, but we have only 2,900 fire stations as of now.    There are 144 areas with 1-lacs and more population, but no infrastructures to deal with fire hazard. In urban areas, lack of 73% firefighters and 79% manpower. Thank You !!!

Current Challenges of Indian Police Force [Part-I]

According to a 2018 survey of 15,562 respondents across 22 states on perceptions about policing, the Lokniti team at the  Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS)   found that less than 25% of Indians trust the police highly. A big reason for the distrust is that interactions with the police can be frustrating, time-consuming and costly. According to the latest available data, 30% of all cases filed in 2016 were pending for investigation by the end of the year.  This   combined with the pendency   in the judiciary means securing justice in India can take a very long time. LATEST WASTE MANAGEMENT REPORT OF INDIA 2019

Hii Everyone !!! Today, one of the gravest threat being faced by India, or rather the whole world is the issue of pollution and garbage generated by humans. A latest report by a group of researchers has published shocking findings regarding the the huge problem of waste management in India. Some highlights :-- Just 35,600 mT garbage out of 1.43-lacs mT generated everyday in Indian cities gets processed,i.e., just 25% . Only 8 of 35 states process more than 50% of daily garbage generated in their cities. The top state with best waste management is Chhattisgarh (1,680 mT generated, 74% processed), followed by Telangana (7,371-mT generated, 67% processed). Jharkhand 4th from bottom  (2,327-mT generated, 2% processed). There are about 84,000 Municipality wards in India and 61,846 (76%) of these have achieved 100% door-to-door garbage collection.
