Magic, Sorcery and Mind Control-- The Difference (by Enoch Tan)

 Hello Everyone !!! 

Generally we see there is a thin line between what is Sorcery, magic, Alchemy, Shamanism etc. But, there is a significant difference between them which is noticeable. 

Magic :

  • The Science and Art of influencing change in accordance with the Higher Will.
  • It is about non-dualism.

Sorcery :

  • The Science and Art of influencing change in accordance with lower Egoistic will.
  • The goal of a sorcerer is to create internal and external opposition.
  • Mind control through manipulation and propagation of illusion is main tool of Sorcery.

Alchemy :

  • It is about transmuting base consciousness into higher moral level of consciousness.
  • Things at micro and quantum level happen faster, whereas things at a macro-level take a longer time to see effects happen.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!! In Vedic era India, all alien cultures that were less civilized were termed as "Mlecchas" or barbarians. They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita .
