Ranger Training and Operations Manual (FM 21-50) [1962]

The Ranger Training and Operations Manual (FM 21-50), published in 1962 by the U.S. Department of the Army, is a historic field manual that outlines the principles, techniques, and procedures for training and conducting Ranger operations. 

It was designed to prepare soldiers for specialized missions involving patrolling, survival, mountaineering, raids, ambushes, and light infantry tactics.
