  • The Guru (spiritual teacher) gives a bow to a Brahmin disciple, a sword to a Kshatriya, a lance to a Vaishya and a mace to a Shudra.
  • Undergoing hard labor, an archer realize the art and techniques of different types of warfare and through it, he achieves victory.
  • An archer who desires success in his art should practice breath-control by Pranayama.
  • An archer who is pure in heart, masters his weapons by applying his mind (to understand the principles of grip, aim and release), word (inquiry from teacher), active hands (practice daily).
  • Enemy warriors who faint, are wounded, whose weapons are broken, who are fighting with other warrior, or who are asking for asylum or refuge, should not be killed. It is against the Kshatriya Dharma (Kshatriya warrior code and ethos).
