Devas & Demi-gods in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!!   All supernatural species are termed as Devas & Asuras. As per the Puranas, both Devas & Asuras are step-brothers. Demi-god is used to refer to deities who were once human and later became Devas due to their superior Karmas. Demi-gods also referred to those beings who are "spiritual off-springs" or born out of a human and a Deva. According to the Vedas, there are 33 classes of demi-gods.  [ Brihadaryank Upanishad 3.9.2 ] There are 8 classes of Demi-gods.   [ Srimad Bhagvatam 10.28-29 ] The bodies of these Devas are not physical & gross, but astral and made up of 3 elements - Ether, air and fire.
