Gu - Chinese Poison

Dating as far back as 610 AD, Gu also is a form of black magic, witchcraft and sorcery with the poison being a central part of the practice.

Concocting a strong formula of Gu poison requires 5 poisonous creatures - Viper snake, scorpion, spider, centipede and toad. The poisonous insects, worms and reptiles referred to as "Chong" were thought of as evil spirits or demons that possessed the human body.

The Thai Miao sect's Gu sorcery is considered the most powerful one.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita .
