 1. They are subtle bodies
2. They belong to one of the 7 regions of Hell but are found on the Earth realm also.
3. They do not exist on the Heaven and above planes
4. They have unfulfilled desires for things that they can only experience through a gross body. 
5. They derive pleasure out of exerting control over and tormenting humans and other subtle bodies.

The 8 Factors deciding the Afterlife :

 1. The number and type of impressions that are created in the subconscious mind depending on how we have lived our lives.
2. Our false Ego
3. The type of deeds done during lifetime
4. The extent and type of spiritual practice undertaken during the lifetime
5. Our destiny
6. The type of death occurred-- natural & peaceful or violent or accidental.
7. The type of funeral done
8. The rituals as per spiritual science done by our descendants after death.

The 6 Reasons for People to become Ghost :   

 1. Many unfulfilled desires
2. Lots of negative impressions in the mind
3. Many personality defects
4. A high amount of Ego
5. Harming others
6. Lack of spiritual practice and intention of God realization.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!! In Vedic era India, all alien cultures that were less civilized were termed as "Mlecchas" or barbarians. They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita . According to the text Bhavishya Purana , there are 4 Mleccha languages . In this way, there are 4-million kinds of other languages.
