Hunting Gun Tips : (Pg #229-244)
1. Shooters should attend safety and handling courses which require that a certificate of expertise be earned before taking the field.
2. Begin your training with a 0.22 caliber rifle. It is a relatively small, compact firearm that is easy to hold steady, slight recoil, low firing sound.
3. Bird and small game hunters usually carry Shotguns and mostly prefer the 12-gauge. It is best to choose the lightest gun possible and one that feels right in your arms and shoulders.
4. Generally speaking, standard ammo in use in standard rifles is used at ranges of b/w 100 and 300m. Special sniper’s rifles have an effective range that can easily achieve 300m and even farther.
