Horses are considered symbols of the attainment wealth and high rank. Historically, they’ve been seen as steady, trusted companions that have allowed humans to succeed in both agriculture and battle.
In many ancient cultures, horses were gifted to emperors and kings because they are symbols of triumph and success.

  • Horses gallop at around 44 km/h
  • The fastest recorded sprinting speed of a horse was 88 km/h.
  • Stallion (male horse), Mare (female horse), Colt (young male horse)
  • The tallest and heaviest horse in the history is the Sampson horse (England) of Shire breed. It is 7'2" tall, weighs 1,524-kg.
  • The highest race speed recorded over 2 furlongs is 70.76 km/h by a horse named Winning Brew of US Thoroughbred breed.
  • An individual horse has a peak power output of 14.9 HP.
  • In India, the 5 breeds are -- Kathiawari, Manipuri, Marwari, Spiti and Zanskari.
  • They are also categorized as -- Country-bred, half-bred.
