Hapkido Principles
Hii everyone !!!
- Hapkido is a highly eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self defense that employs strikes, joint locks, grappling and throwing techniques.
- It also includes the use of weapons like knife, sword, rope, Nunchakus, sticks and staffs.
- Creator-- Mr. Choi Yong-Sool
Principles of Hapkido :
1. Non-resistance (Hwa)--
The act of remaining relaxed and not directly opposing an opponent's strength.
2. Circular principle (Won)--
It is a way to gain momentum and executing technique in a natural and free-flowing manner.
3. The Water Principle (Yu)--
It can be thought of as soft, adaptable strength of water. As the flowing stream penetrates and surrounds its obstructions and as dripping water eventually penetrates the stone, so does the Hapkido strength flows in and through its opponent.
Thats All !!!
