US Army The Pencils (Manufacturing & Supply) Directions, Order [1942]

 Hello everyone !!

War Drawing pencils are a rare breed.  Not because they are rare to come across , but rather, they are rare breed because they appeal to collectors of more than just pencils.

Fountain pens or pencils were the composition executors during World War II. Administrative staff and officers, not on the battlefronts would have use of a typewriter.

Fighters in the field discovered pencils advantageous to convey messages, but pencil lead was often less readable than ink. A decent fountain pen was profoundly prized, particularly for journal and letter composition.

US Army had standardized the manufacturing of pencils during the war.
