NCC (NATIONAL CADET CORPS)

 Hello Everyone !!

NCC is the youth wing of the Indian army. It is a tri-service organization of Army, Navy and Airforce.

It was established in 16th July 1948, with the Headquarters in New Delhi.

Its motto - "Unity & Discipline"

The 4 Principles :

  1. Obey with a smile
  2. Be punctual
  3. Work hard and without fuss
  4. Make no excuses and tell no lie

Aims :

  1. To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst youth of the country.
  2. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of nation.
  3. To provide a suitable environment to motivate youth to take up a career in armed forces.

The Laws of Aiming :

  1. Focus the target so that a clear picture is formed on the retina of the eye & get true-center of the target. Then with the eye, focus to foresight.
  2. Hold the rifle properly and keep it upright.
  3. Close the left eye and focus foresight.
  4. See the foresight through black sight 'U'. The foresight should be seen right in the center of 'U'. The tip of foresight must be aligned in the center and in level with shoulder of 'U'.

The Essentials of Good Shooting :

  • Shooting with determination and concentration.
  • Shooting within 5 seconds of aiming.
  • Adjust the sights and shoot target after indication.

The 3 Basic Essentials of a Good Firer :

  1. Correct holding
  2. Correct aiming
  3. Correct trigger operation.

Rifle Cleaning Box Contents :

Combination tool, gas-regulator key, screwdriver, chamber cleaning brush, chindi-cloth, graphite grease tube.

Important Duties of a Good Citizen :

  • Be loyal and own allegiance to the State.
  • Patriotism, preservation of independence of country.    
  • Service before self.
  • Sense of duty.
  • Care and protection of government property.
  • High character
  • Consider right of other citizens also as important as own right.

Self Defense & Combative :

# The 6 Essential Principles :--

  1. Ruthlessness
  2. Determined efforts
  3. Attack vulnerable parts of opponent
  4. Efficiency of initial attack
  5. Surprise and speed of attack
  6. Retaining initiative

# Essentials of Unarmed Combat :--

  • Attack enemy when there is slackness
  • Attack with smartness
  • Full vigor
  • Do work with cleanliness 
  • Seek-in initiative at first at every stage
  • After defense, prepare for attack
  • Attack vital spots
  • To deceive the enemy
  • Attack suddenly
  • Power
  • Training

# Vulnerable Parts of Body :--

Eyes, ears, temple, nose, mouth, chin, throat, belly, groin, knees, base of skull, spine, kidneys etc.

Cadet ID :

ID card number, registration  number, rank, unit.
