 The 18 Skills in Ninjutsu :

The 18 disciplines (Ninja Juhakkei) were first stated in the scrolls of Togakure-ryu.
Ninja Juhakkei was often studied along with Bugei Juhappan (the 18 Samurai Skills).

The 18 Disciplines are :--
1. Sheisinteki-kyoyo  (spiritual refinement)
2. Taijutsu                  (unarmed combat)
3. Kenjutsu                (sword techniques)
4. Bo-jutsu                  (stick & staff techniques)
5. So-jutsu                  (spear techniques)
6. Naginata-jutsu      (Naginata techniques)
7. Kusarigama-jutsu (Kusarigama techniques)
8. Kayaku-jutsu        (pyrotechnics)
9. Henso-jutsu          (disguise & improvisation)
10. Shuriken-jutsu    (throwing blade weapons techniques)
11. Shinobi-iri          (stealth & entering methods)
12. Sui-ren               (water training)
13. Boryaku             (tactics)
14. Choho                (espionage)
15. Inton-jutsu         (escaping & concealment)
16. Ba-jutsu             (horsemanship)
17. Tenmon             (meteorology)

The 8 Other Disciplines :--
1. Biken-jutsu               (all blade techniques)

Although there were several weapons and tools used by the Ninjas, which were specific for the weapons, so here we are mentioning some of the generally known ones as mentioned by several previous writers and Historians.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism
