Qualities of a Devotee

According to the Bhagvad Gita, as being told by Lord Krishna, there are 26 qualities in an ideal devotee.

The 26 Qualities of an Ideal Devotee :-- (B.G. 16.1-3)

1. Kind to everyone.
2. Humble, does not quarrel with anyone.
3. Truthful
4. Equal to everyone
5. Faultless
6. Charitable
7. Mild
8. Clean, pure
9. Simple, without material possession
10. Benevolent
11. Peaceful
12. Completely attached to Krishna
13. Desire less
14. Indifferent towards material possession
15. Steady, fixed
16. Self controlled
17. Does not eat more than required
18. Sane
19. Respectful
20. Has no material hankering
21. Grave
22. Compassionate
23. Friendly
24. Poetic
25. Silent
26. Expert

So these are the most important qualities worth  possessing. Those who possess them are more near to God.

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!! In Vedic era India, all alien cultures that were less civilized were termed as "Mlecchas" or barbarians. They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita . According to the text Bhavishya Purana , there are 4 Mleccha languages . In this way, there are 4-million kinds of other languages.
