The 3 Explanations : (V.S. 1.43-45)

  1. An absolute abandoning of sexual indulgence on mental, verbal and physical level.
  2. For householders, it includes love with their partner only.
  3. Serving the Guru regularly.

The 5 Methods of Expelling Evil Thoughts : 

  1. Gain another, wholesome object in mind instead of one which caused these evil thoughts.
  2. Reflect misery of these thoughts as unwholesome and leading to pain.
  3. Pay no attention to them.
  4. Consider their compound nature
  5. Suppress and root them out with force of mind, teeth clenched and tongue pressed against the gums.
  6. Verse 11.21.19 of Srimad Bhagvatam.

The 7 Methods of Suppression :

  1. Fixing the mind on an idea that arouses disgust.
  2. Contemplation on the loathsomeness of the body.
  3. Controlling the 6 senses
  4. Moderation in eating
  5. Friendship with wise and good men
  6. Right instruction
  7. Praying for others

The Concept of Mlecchas in Hinduism

 Hello Everyone !!! In Vedic era India, all alien cultures that were less civilized were termed as "Mlecchas" or barbarians. They were unknown to the Vedic culture, not versed in Sanskrit and were out of the Bharatvarsha. King Bhoja (1,010-1,015 AD) established Languages for the 4 Varnas : Brahmins - Sanskrit Kshatriya - Sanskrit Vaishya - Sanskrit Shudras - Prakrit Mlecchas mentioned in Scriptures : The 5 Mleccha tribes - Kirata, Pulindasa, Indo-Greek, Scythians, Kushanas. ( Amar Kosha, 814 AD) This tribe was born from the tail of Nandini (celestial cow). They are dwellers of hills and mountains, of fierce eyes, conversant with deceptive powers of the Asuras.   ( Mahabharata 7.92) Mentioned in several verses of Srimad Bhagvatam and Chaitanya Charitamrita . According to the text Bhavishya Purana , there are 4 Mleccha languages . In this way, there are 4-million kinds of other languages.
